Winchester Walking Weekend 2026

The Winchester Walking Weekend returns this June with an expanded programme of guided routes. Whether you are a regular face in our walking group or joining us for the first time, there is a route to suit every stride.

• Thursday & Friday: Walks depart from the charming Georgian town of New Alresford.
• Saturday & Sunday: Most routes start from Winchester Cathedral.
• The Half-Marathon Challenge: For those seeking a longer day out, we have two 13.1-mile walks. these will depart from the East Winchester (St Catherine’s) Park & Ride.

Our walks range from 3 to 13 miles, exploring everything from the historic town and city to the rolling downs and chalk streams that define our local landscape.

Please book via the WinchesterWalkingWeekend.org.uk website rather than directly with leaders.
