Walk now FULL, Droxford 6.6 mile plus 2.6 mile Fo8 walk
This is a figure of 8 walk. The morning 6.6 mile walk starts in Droxford at the Baker’s Arms at 10.00am. The route follows the Meon valley to Meonstoke and Exton, then heads to the West through parts of Corhampton Forest and Shepherd’s Down. The afternoon (optional) 2.6 mile walk goes south towards Soberton. There are some great views on route, and we walk through river valley, downland and woodland. The tracks are mainly easy walking, and are mud free (providing there's no major rain before the walk). There are two stiles and one fairly long incline that finishes with a short section that is quite steep; so please bring poles if you use them. A few short sections involve walking along quiet roads.
The Baker’s Arms will take food orders at 9.45, so please allow time for that so we can be on our way by 10.00. Toilets will be available there. For those not eating at the pub, there is an area to sit about 200m away in Droxford village, which we pass at the end of the walk.
Please let the leader know if you wish to join and whether you will be eating at the pub.
This walk is not suitable for dogs.
