Circular walks starting at 10.30 from The Bell Inn, St Cross, Winchester going somewhere in the local area, which covers St Catherines Hill, St Giles Hill, The Water Meadows, Winnall Moor, White Shute Ridge, Hockley Down, Twyford Lock, Compton and beyond. Moderate pace for 5 miles (there may be a hill), leisurely at 3 miles.

There is an option afterwards for lunch or a drink in The Bell Inn - no pre-order needed. Finish at 12.30. If you are not using the pub, there is 2 hour parking in Mead Road, on the other side of St Cross Road. You should be back within that time. 

The Blue Star No. 1 bus to Southampton, every 20 minutes from Winchester bus station or Chandlers Ford, stops at The Bell.
