Thursday 6 July - 11 miles - Chawton Park Wood, heading north

An 11 mile circular walk on paths, tracks and quiet roads.  From Chawton Park Wood Car Park we head  through the woods to Alton and skirt the town before passing the source of the River Wey and climbing up to Shalden.  There are lovely views as we cross the valley to Bentworth before heading back via Jennie Green Lane.  The going is generally easy with one stretch of slow-going stony track.  This walk has plenty of woodland shade and some open field views.

This is a picnic walk, please bring snacks and plenty of drinks for hot weather.
