New Forest Figure of 8 from Red Shoot Inn, Linwood

Thursday’s figure of eight walk is in a delightful part of the New Forest. The morning walk is about 5.5 miles over to Ibsley Common where the heather is looking spectacular at the moment.

After lunch at the Red Shoot Inn or a picnic nearby, the afternoon walk is just over 4 miles. It takes us over Red Shoot Plain, to the beautiful views over Blashford Lakes, returning across Rockford Common.
