New Forest 9 miles (Figure of 8)

This walk is a Fo8 from the Shatterford car park (near Beaulieu Station), 5 miles in the morning and 4 miles in the afternoon.   Lunch will be at The Drift Inn, visit http://thedrift.newforesthotels.co.uk for menu choices.

The car park (Grid SU347064) is on the south (right) side of the B3056 Lyndhurst-Beaulieu road - travelling from Lyndhurst, just before the bridge over the railway line.

Meet at the car park for a 1015hrs start, lunch likely 1230-1300hrs so the afternoon session should be underway by 1400hrs at the latest.  Estimated finish at the car park is 1515-1545hrs.   This is an easy walk with very little in the way of undulation.  Walking shoes will be quite adequate, poles useful if you need them but not essential.
