Downton/Clearbury Ring
This walk takes us through the pretty village of Downton, crossing the river Avon, then alongside a disused railway line to Standlynch, before passing through Trafalgar Park, once home of Lord Nelson. We then re-cross the river by a series of small bridges over the weirs to reach the village of Charlton All Saints. After crossing a busy road, we head uphill to Clearbury Ring, where we will stop for a picnic lunch with fine views before returning to Downton via Clearbury Down and part of the Avon Valley Path.
