Day out on the IOW: Yarmouth, The Needles, Tennyson Down and Freshwater Bay
A sensational, long coastal walk from Yarmouth, round Totland and Colwell Bays and climbing the hills to the iconic Needles viewpoint.
Rounding the end of West Wight, we will walk along the length of Tennyson Down to enjoy breathtaking and far-reaching Solent and south coast views, as recommended by Lord Alfred himself, who said the air here was "worth sixpence a pint".
Descending to beautiful Freshwater Bay, we will then walk back to Yarmouth along the old Causeway railway line.
