Chutes-Hatchett Inn Pub Walk 9+ miles

                         

This circular figure of eight walk sets off from the upper car park of the 13th Century thatched Hatchett  Inn , Lower Chute with its oak beams offering a cosy atmosphere and range of good local ales as well as a wide choice of snack or lunch menu choices .

The walk is on the Hampshire-Wiltshire border providing a variety of vistas, hills , valleys , undulating pathways so climbing is involved , along wooded tracks passing some impressive homes. Walking poles are advised.

The walk is 6.7 miles in the morning with a 10.00 start and 13.00 lunch stop. The afternoon is 2.5 miles to the small Chute Forest Church.  Walkers have the option to do the morning walk only.  Walking pace is approximately 23 minutes per mile. No stiles or cows on the pre walk, but fields with sheep.
