9-mile walk to Broughton

Walk across fields and along quiet country lanes to the large village of Broughton for a pub lunch at The Greyhound (picnickers can use the nearby churchyard) with crossings of the Test in either direction. About 5 miles in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. Surprisingly little mud on the pre walk but crossing a water meadow near the start requires good boots, so be prewarned. Pub has not asked for a pre-order but if numbers are large they may change their mind, so please look out for any further communications. Car park at start is small - PLEASE CAR SHARE IF YOU CAN.
