9 mile Denmead

A circular walk of about 9 miles starting at Kidmore Lane Car Park (free) in Denmead, then heading North to the village of Hambledon for a coffee break, before passing through the vines at Hambledon Vineyard and stopping for lunch at the Bat and Ball, Broadhalfpenny Down, then returning to the start.  The route is along country paths and a few quiet stretches of road and includes some fine views of the countryside at its best. 

Toilets are available at the start, with other possible comfort stops along the way.  Unless there is a lot of rain beforehand, poles are not essential, although there is one steep downhill section, for which they might be helpful.  There are one or two stiles.
