8.5 miles New Forest figure of 8 around Fritham

We will meet in the Fritham car park in good time for a 10am start.  The walk will be a figure of 8 with 5.5 miles in the morning and 3 miles in the afternoon.   Featuring forest tracks and paths and open heathland, there will be no gates or stiles, but if it has been raining a few parts may be muddy and we will need to cross what are dry stream beds.  

Lunch will be available in The Royal Oak Pub in Fritham, or picnic spots nearby.  No bookings are needed for the pub, but bear in mind that seating inside is very limited.  The food is mostly ploughman's and similar- great quality but they do not offer a wide menu.

We should return between 3pm and 3:30pm.
