8.5 miles Itchen Valley

A circular walk through some of the best parts of the Itchen Valley.  Starting at 10.00am at the public car on B3047 at King George's Playing Field, Couch Green, Martyr Worthy, the walk heads north of Itchen Abbas along Oxdrove Way, through Itchen Wood and along Three Castles Path, stopping for lunch at the Plough Inn, Itchen Abbas.  It then heads along the Itchen Way through Martyr Worthy back to the parking.  The distances are approx 6.5 miles in the morning and 2 miles in the afternoon. There will be opportunities for comfort stops along the way, although the first is not for approx 45 minutes from the start..
