The 6 Mile Dolphin Walk

Starting from Winchester, we will walk at a leisurely pace to Hursley, using Whiteshute and Silkstead Lane ancient byways, and the Monarch and Clarendon Ways to get there. 

There are amazing views as we leave Winchester along Compton Down, with quiet lanes to walk, very little mud to contend with, and we may even see a pair of peregrine falcons as we pass Silkstead Manor.

We will finish at The Dolphin Pub in Hursley for lunch where they offer a reasonably priced lunch menu.

Buses return from Hursley to Winchester or Romsey hourly.
