5 mile picnic walk at Olivers Battery

A pleasant walk around Yew Tree Butterfly reserve and local footpaths followed, for those who wish, a picnic in the leader's garden overlooking the downs. 

Some of the usual route is closed due to the construction of a second reservoir on Yew Tree Hill. The walk will take us to the reserve and then on to  the village of Compton. There are hills. So please bring a stick if you use one.
