5-6 Cheriton
From The Hinton Arms we walk a short distance towards Kilmeston, and then east to follow public footpaths from which we will see some of the early stages of a major National Trust project - 'Reimagining a Hampshire Estate'. This aims to increase Hinton Ampner's biodiversity and climate resilience by more free-roaming rare breed cattle, new woodland, reducing fertilisers and adding conservation headlands.
We eventually turn north to reach Bramdean. We walk along the roadside path for 200 metres and turn south up a lane to pass the 11th C. church. After more ascent we join a path we walked earlier, turning west towards The Hinton Arms and lunch. One stile.
Advance booking is essential.
