5-6 Burghclere

We will start off at 10.15am, so if we plan to arrive by 9.45am we will have ample time to place lunch orders and use the facilities before setting off.

There are a couple of long slow hills, on farm tracks, and some limited walking on country lanes. There are 3 stiles , all near the beginning, the last two of which are relatively easy, but your friendly guide will be on hand to assist if required.

There is one short plank bridge but it's quite wide and hopefully not too slippery.

When we recce'd the walk, it must be said there was a fair amount of mud in certain sections, particularly on the first off road path and in certainly bits of the woodland track. Since then there has been no rain so it should have dried up a bit but it all depends on what happens in the last few days before the 25th. In any event a walking pole would probably be a good idea.
