A walk with a fair amount of tree cover on what's expected to be a hot day. When not amongst the trees there are lovely views across cereal crops and wildflower areas.
From Farley Mount Country Park, we'll descend to Berrydown Farm, then via Slackstead to Ampfield Woods. We'll have a chance to spot the pigs at the back of Hillier Arboretum before a gentle climb to Braishfield. Picnic lunch stop at Braishfield recreation ground where there is a shop and cafe.
We then head back via Fern Hill Copse, Farley Farm and Parnholt Wood.
