11 miles - Three Counties Walk from Martin Down

This undulating walk offers stunning views and historical interest. The route crosses Martin Down alongside the ancient Bokerley Dyke, then climbs to Pembury Knoll in Dorset, where we will stop for coffee and enjoy far reaching views. We then follow the Hardy Trail to Pentridge village and return to Bokerley Dyke before crossing the A354 and entering Wiltshire. We will walk through the beautiful woodland in Vernditch Chase to the Ox Drove, where we will stop for a picnic lunch with more far reaching views before returning via Moody’s Copse, an ancient Roman Road and another section of Vernditch Chase.

There are a few stiles.

Please let the leader know you are coming as we may set off early if all known walkers have arrived
